Anti-social behaviour of youths congregating near to the Co-Op store, Cookhouse Public House and Lucas Court are a priority for this area

Status Update

Officers have been working closely with partner agencies to provide outreach support in the area, engaging with young people and addressing the causes of the behaviour. The local youth club continues to be a positive influence, with good attendance and constructive engagement from those taking part.
The team will maintain a visible presence and continue partnership work to reduce incidents and support the community.

Anti-social behaviour and theft shop in the Warrington Road area

Status Update

Officers have been working with partners to combat ASB in the area. They have looked at ways of designing out crime with council partners and looking at gated areas for parks and ensured housing providers are fixing doors to premises promptly to prevent youths congregating in communal areas.
They have worked with local businesses to identify offenders committing crime and issued banning orders to youths in the presence of their parents.

Rainhill , reduce ASB within the village, Rainhill Clinic, and junction of Warrington and Rainhill Road.

Status Update

Local Policing officers have been working hard to identify youths responsible for ASB in the area. Working with Safer Schools officers, internal and external partners they identified 17 youths who were visited at home and issued ASB warning letters in the presence of their parents. Funding was sort for Rainhill Reach outreach and the council safer communities team to provide a visible presence to engage with young people and deter them from this behaviour. Rainhill reach opened a local youth club to provide a safe place for youths to go in the evening and 1 x youth was issued a banning notice from a local shop. A section 34 dispersal order was also issued for one weekend. This action has resulted in a significant drop in calls. Officers continue to work with partners and provide a visible presence.

Status Update

Officers have provided a visible presence to the area, developed their knowledge of the issue and identified a number of young people causing issues in the area. They have issued warning letters to cease and desist from ASB and where repeat incidents have occurred conducted joint visits with housing partners. Officers have also attend local schools to deliver inputs re: respecting the area and others.
